WELCOME to the official website of Bullitt County Attorney, Monica Meredith Robinson. The intention of this site is to provide you with information regarding the County Attorney’s Office and to provide you with necessary information to streamline your involvement in the Court system. The County Attorney serves a dual function, representing both the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Bullitt County. The County Attorney’s responsibilities include:

1.  Prosecution of all traffic and misdemeanor offenses in district court;

2.  Prosecution of all felonies at the probable cause stage in district court;

3.  Prosecution of all juvenile offenses including criminal acts, status offenses, and dependency, neglect and abuse;

4.  Handle extraditions;

5.  Oversee mental inquests and disability cases;

6.  Prosecute to recover delinquent property taxes;

7.  Serve as counsel for fiscal court, county districts, commissions and county officials;

8.  Initiate actions on behalf of the County or elected officials in their official capacity;

9.  Defend the County in all claims made against it or against elected officials in their official capacity;

10.  Collect cold checks on behalf of merchants and businesses;

11.  Collect delinquent civil child support for parents through a contract with the Cabinet for Families & Children; 

12.  Represent the Mt. Washington Fire Protection District; 

13.  Represent the Nichols Fire District; and

14.  Represent the Bullitt County Sanitation District.
